Melia Mania X Huskies Summer Camp

National Cup winners Limerick Sport Huskies are delighted to announce the launch of the Melia Mania x Limerick Sport Huskies Girls Summer Camp, taking place on the 6th, 7th and 8th of July at Limerick Educate Together Secondary School (LETSS).

The camp will be led by Irish international Claire Melia, Ireland’s only current female professional basketball player, who is currently playing in Spain with BAXI Ferrol following a historic season in the FIBA Women’s EuroCup.

The three-day camp will give girls the opportunity to develop their basketball skills in a fun, energetic and positive environment alongside Claire Melia and Limerick Sport Huskies coaches. Sessions will include skills development, shooting, games, competitions and team activities across all age groups.

Two separate camp sessions will run each day:

Morning Session
10:00am to 1:00pm
Girls aged 5–11

Afternoon Session
1:30pm to 4:30pm
Girls aged 12–18

Claire Melia said:

“I’m looking forward to coming down to work with Limerick Sport Huskies by delivering a camp where we hope to help players develop and improve their skills, confidence and their basketball IQ over the few days but most importantly to enjoy it and have fun. Thank you to the club for giving me the opportunity to come down to meet and work with these players. Hope to see you all there!”

The Early Bird price for the three-day camp is €90, with the standard price rising to €100 once Early Bird places are sold out. There is also a sibling discount available at checkout for families booking more than one participant.

In addition, free camp t-shirts will be provided to the first 20 registered participants in both the morning and afternoon sessions.

Limerick Sport Huskies Open Memberships for 2026/27 Season and Launch New Under 8s Team

Limerick Sport Huskies are now preparing for the 2026/27 season, with training set to return during the final two weeks of August across all age groups.

Membership renewals and new registrations for the upcoming season will shortly be available through the following link:

The club is also delighted to confirm that, for the first time ever, Limerick Sport Huskies will field an Under 8s team for girls aged 5–7 as part of the new season.

Summer Basketball

In advance of the new season, the club will also run a six-week summer basketball programme beginning in the first week of July and continuing through to the second week of August. These sessions will provide players with an opportunity to stay active, develop skills and prepare for the upcoming season in a fun and positive environment.
